I was born in Memphis, Tennessee and spent the first 14 years of my life there. My Father came to the U.S. from Puerto Rico. My Mother, a southern belle from Parkin, Arkansas met my Dad while attending Memphis State University. My Dad was transferred to Morton, Illinois during my High School years and I attended Spalding Institute in Peoria, Illinois. After obtaining my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, I returned to Morton where I got my first job as an inside representative at RLI Insurance Company located in Peoria, Illinois. From there I was transferred to Phoenix for a short stint as a field representative, then transferred to Northern California in the same capacity for approximately 8 years. I developed an interest in becoming an Insurance agent based on my relationship with my own personal agent. In the process of my "due diligence" research; after speaking with agents from diverse companies, State Farm emerged as the premier insurance company candidate. In 1983 I moved back to Phoenix to pursue a career with State Farm and June 1st of 1984, I was appointed as a State Farm agent. Over the past 30+ years I have enjoyed a rich and rewarding career helping people design an insurance program designed for their specific needs and budget. My team and I have been blessed to serve our community and make many friends along the way.
